Presiding Bishop visits with Tana river victims

The Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church in Kenya, Rev. Joseph Ntombura and the Conference Secretary, Bishop Isaya Deye visited with the victims of the Tana river clashes. They visited the Isowe area in Garsen where people had moved to following their displacement from their homes in Kibusu area following the clashes there.
The Methodist Church in Kenya held an induction ceremony on the 6th of January 2013 at Lavington United Church for the induction of Rev. Joseph Ntombura Mwaine as the 6th Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church in Kenya. He was elected as the Presiding Bishop by the Annual conference of the Methodist Church in Kenya held in August 2012.
Nairobi synod donates clothes for victims of Tana river clashes

The Nairobi synod donated clothing and shoes to go towards helping the victims of the clashes in the Tana river area. The items were donations given by the members of the different Methodist Churches in the Nairobi synod.
The Methodist Church in Kenya in collaboration with the end-of-life nursing education consortium (ELNEC) held a two day training on end of life nursing care for healthcare professionals and church ministers.
The Methodist Church in Kenya held free medical camps in the coast region for a period of 10 days from the 12th to 21st September, 2012. The medical camps offered dental consultation, vct testing and counseling, doctor’s consultation as well as free medicines for the people who attended the medical camp.
