Methodist Church in Kenya

The Methodist Church In Kenya will hold its 47th annual conference on the 20th to the 26th of August, 2012 at the Methodist guest house and conference center. The annual conference is held every year and is attended by delegates from the different synods of the Methodist church in Kenya.

The theme for this year's conference is: This Far the Lord Has Brought Us (1 Samuel 7:12)

A number of key activities will be held during this year's conference;

Election of the 6th Presiding bishop of the Methodist Church in Kenya
The 6th Presiding bishop will be elected during the conference. The current Presiding bishop's term will end in December 2012 and the new bishop will provide leadership for the entire Methodist Church in Kenya as he takes office from January 2013.

Official Opening of MMC Block C (Phase 2)
The Methodist Ministries Center (MMC) block C which is a newly constructed office block will be opened on the 24th of August, 2012.

Election of Synod Bishops
During the conference 1 new synod bishop will be elected for Kaaga synod and a re-election will be held for Nkubu, Kilifi and Tharaka synods.
